Golf tee-time planner

The start window is the time between the first and final group’s starts. It is not the duration of a round or the time when the last group finishes.

How to calculate your starting window

  1. Count the groups.

    Divide the player count by the group size and round up. With 73 golfers in groups of 4, you need 19 groups: 18 full groups and a final group of 1.

  2. Count the gaps between starts.

    Subtract 1 from the group count. The first group starts immediately, so 19 groups have 18 gaps.

  3. Multiply by the starting interval.

    At 10-minute intervals, 18 gaps take 180 minutes. Starting at 8:00 AM puts the final start at 11:00 AM.

For a single group, the first and final start are the same and the starting window is zero minutes.

Check the plan with your course

This tool assumes one starting tee, equal whole-minute intervals and a final group that may be smaller. It does not schedule a shotgun start, alternate tees, breaks or delays.

Times are local clock calculations without a calendar date or time zone. The planner labels midnight rollovers, but it does not check daylight, weather, daylight saving time, pace of play or the course’s capacity. Long or overnight schedules need a different starting plan agreed with the course.

Calculating a tee sheet does not reserve any tee time, create a Cartners tournament or assign golfers to a group. Use your confirmed arrangements when setting up the actual event.
